Angelica M. Gonzalez, Ed.D. currently serves as adjunct faculty in the areas of Chicano
and Mexican American Studies both at Southwestern and San Diego City College. She
also serves as Assistant Director of SDICCCA, a faculty fellowship (internship) program
at San Diego State University, and is the Acting Title V Project Director at Orange
Coast College in STEM.
Dr. Gonzalez has an extensive background in equity, diversity, and inclusion. Her
research is primarily focused on exploring college success factors among men of color
in community college, namely Mexicanos in community college and how positive masculine
behaviors transform perspectives about degree utility. Dr. Gonzalez is a published
author, avid presenter of scholarly work, and is a member of numerous organizations,
including AHSIE, AAHHE, AERA, CSCC, HACU, and NACCS.
