San Diego City College utilized 2019 - 2020 FAFSA application data to estimate the number of enrolled students who may be eligible to apply for the CARES Act funds as well as to determine which students would receive the CARES Act funds. Specifically, the College analyzed the number of students who had a current FAFSA on file; Expected Family Contribution (EFC) data; the number of current Pell Grant recipients; and the number of remaining students who had not submitted a FAFSA. This data was compared against the total amount of available funds to identify the amount of funds that would be distributed.
