Testing Center Information you Need to Know!

Step 1: Communicate with you professor. Find out all of the exam dates and times and discuss your plans for utilizing the proctoring center. If you are a student with DSPS accommodations, the instructor may be able to proctor the exam if they are available or you may use the Testing Center. All exam requests go through instructor approval so it is critical that you communicate with your professors.

Step 2: Gather all important course information. Exam date & time, professor’s name, course title and course number, modality of exam (computer, paper & pencil, zoom, in person etc)

Step 3: Request a Reservation Date & Time by completing the Student Proctoring Request Form 7 days prior to your requested exam date and 14 days prior to a final exam date. You will get an email confirmation of the exam request once submitted. Note: Make sure you alot enough time to complete your exam during the testing center hours of operation.

Step 4: Arrive ready to ROCK your test at your scheduled date and time! Please review the COVID Health & Safety Protocols and the Things to Know Before Arriving to Take Your Exam sections listed below.

For new students seeking test proctoring accommodations based on disability related needs, you process begins with registering for DSPS services which will follow with a welcome meeting with a DSPS Counselor. Once you have registered for DSPS services and met with a DSPS counselor you will be provided an Authorized Academic Accommodations letter, also known as AAA letter, which will specify any testing related accommodations. Be sure to share your letter with your instructors to ensure they know what accommodations you are needing for their course. For Continuing DSPS students you do not need to re-apply but simply request a semester update to their accommodations which can be done online via the DSPS Webpage.

On-campus exams require that students must be cleared to be on campus. San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) will require all students to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (per CDC guidelines) or approved medical exemption, to enroll in face-to-face (in-person) classes and access student services that are reasonably expected to last 15 minutes or longer.

  • Proof of Vaccination or Clearance for Proctoring Appointments: You may be asked to show your Cleared4 pass upon check-in. If you have questions about campus clearance, please visit COVID-19 Information and Requirements for Students or consult with your instructor.
  • COVID-19 Testing Requirements: Students with an approved medical exemption will be required to comply with COVID-19 testing requirements. Students must test within seventy-two (72) hours of class meetings/student service appointments.
  • Face Masks Still Required on Campus: All employees, students and campus visitors must continue to wear masks on campus regardless of vaccination status. We have masks available upon request.
