CAREER

  • System Administrator - responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; especially multi-user computers, such as servers.
  • Network Administrator - responsible for keeping an organization's computer network up-to-date and operating as intended; coordinates and connects the different systems.

IT Careers

  • Computer Support Technician - responsible for installation, configuration, and support of hardware, software and drivers, technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices, and well-functioning network components (servers, IPs etc.).
  • Help-Desk Technician - first contact offering technical assistance usually by responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access.
  • IT Manager/Supervisor - responsible for the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of a company's computing needs, including the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within a company.
  • IT Consultant - external analyst who evaluates a company's IT systems to help them meet their business objectives, including analyzing and diagnosing a company's IT infrastructure, understanding a client's business needs, and designing and implementing a technology solution.
